A Groundbreaking Year for Ocean Rainforest

2025 stands as a truly groundbreaking chapter in Ocean Rainforest's journey - one defined by bold expansions, major milestones, and a merger of global expertise that propels us into exciting commercial expansion.

Kicking off the year, we acquired the majority shareholding in AlgaMar, Mexico's seasoned biostimulant producer with over 20 years of extraction expertise, strengthening our capabilities to produce seaweed-based biostimulants and expanding our impact from the ocean to land. Working across different time zones, cultures, and languages didn’t come without challenges. However, through our basic values of passion, teamwork and a pioneering spirt across Mexico, California, and Europe, we commenced the alignment process of a global team ready to scale impact.

This year, we navigated the public comment period in California for the first-ever offshore seaweed farm in U.S. federal waters , hopefully clearing a path for historic permitting.

In April, our first Impact Report signaled our pivot to commercialization, amplified by acquisitions, investments, and cutting-edge collaborations.

We boldly published our Seaweed Manifesto , rallying the industry toward sustainable ocean farming, and presented at UNOC3 in Nice alongside our shareholders.

August brought the most significant milestone with the launch of our seaweed-based biostimulants MakroBoost and KelpShield earning OMRI and CDFA organic certifications .

We connected deeply at the California Seaweed Festival, hit record harvests per meter in the Faroes 📈, and delivered our first MakroBoost orders to U.S. growers.

From the World Bank's Biostimulant Round Table in Washington DC to our spotlight presentation at the Biostimulants World Congress, we've elevated cultivated seaweed as the future of biostimulants.

These strides aren't just achievements - they're the foundation of Ocean Rainforest, poised for growth in seaweed cultivation and regenerative agriculture.
